An orphan boy is taken to become the whipping boy for Prince Brat, who certainly lives up to his name. The prince creates problems for those around him and Jemmy, the whipping boy, is the one who receives the punishment. After running away, the two are bound together in some fantastic adventures. Through it all, a friendship grows between the two boys. You can't wait to see how this book will end. The vocabulary in this book is rich in unusual words that my students loved to research.
